Web Design for Courses: Advanced Applications

June 1-3, 1999

La Salle University

Welcome to "Advanced Web Design"! This three-day workshop will help you build on what you already know about designing web sites for courses so that you can take advantage of some of the more sophisticated multimedia opportunies offered on the World Wide Web. The workshop is run by Sabrina DeTurk, of the Fine Arts Department, assisted by Joanne Snarponis, of Audiovisual/Media Services. Special thanks to the Teaching and Learning with Technology Roundtable and to Bell Atlantic for their logistical and financial assistance in making this workshop possible.

Workshop Schedule

A schedule of workshop sessions, including links to related materials, is available on a day-by-day basis:

All sessions will take place in the Olney 127 computer lab and will run from 9-3, with a break for lunch around noon. It is recommended that participants bring one or two floppy disks to the workshop sessions, as it is likely that you will create materials which you'll wish to transfer to your home or office computer. You may also wish to bring existing course materials (including HTML files) on disk, so that you can use them as a starting point for workshop activities.

A collection of web resources related to workshop topics is available here.
