To those who do not know, Yu-Gi-Oh is a collectible card game,
or CCG, in which players must use various strategies to defeat their opponents. The game is based off of the
long-running Manga and Anime series that started in Japan. This site is here to tell you more about the
franchise's history, a brief explanation on how to play the game, some more advanced tips for people that know
the ropes of the game's system, and finally, some information about the Anime series that spawned the
card game's popularity in America.
In truth, the game is probably most popular around the younger age group, due to its colorful artwork
and somewhat humorous-looking creatures. At the same time though, adults have found the game to be rather
deep in its gameplay and have found it to be a good way to pass time for fun... One of those adults being
myself included. When I first played, I found out why the younger children have come to enjoy this game: The
play mechanics of Yu-Gi-Oh are very simple to learn. At the same time though, Yu-Gi-Oh holds a lot of potential
for strategy, making it fun for the older age group as well.
