Transfer Student Story

After graduating from Bucks County Community College, Michael Murray had to decide where he would transfer to complete his bachelor’s degree. La Salle’s Nutrition Department piqued his interest but the small class sizes and individualized attention are what won him over. “I am not just a number at La Salle,” Michael says. “I have relationships with my professors, who have a sincere concern for their students’ success.”

Michael says the process in transferring set him up for success at La Salle. “Transfer admission was extremely helpful,” he says. “They walked me through a detailed step-by-step process to ensure my courses were going to transfer. I was even able to sit down with the head of the Nutrition Department to discuss my future at La Salle, including the coursework I would need to complete, as well information about their coordinated program in dietetics.”

With dreams of becoming a registered dietician or possibly a college nutrition professor, Michael says his classes have him well on his way.  “I’ve been surprised by just how caring and amiable my professors are,” he says. “I have the pleasure of being taught by true professionals in the field. All of my professors go out of their way to create a positive classroom atmosphere to ensure student success.”
