Consistent with the University’s mission of creating a diverse and inclusive living, learning, and working community, and celebrating the significant milestone of 50 years since La Salle admitted the first full-time female undergraduate day students in Fall 1970, the La Salle Alumni Association has established the Women in Leadership Award.
This annual award will recognize significant contributions of women in the La Salle community. The award will honor leaders who transcend socioeconomic status, those who advocate for the inclusion of women in leadership, and whose imprint is left on the hearts of those whom she leads.
In addition to recognizing the awardee’s leadership contributions, the Alumni Career Committee of the Board will be hosting a professional development conference for female leaders in the La Salle community. The planned program surrounding the celebration will continue to establish La Salle as a resource to drive ongoing professional development of women leaders spanning the lifecycle of their careers and serves as an event to foster great networking opportunities. The La Salle Alumni Association’s Women in Leadership Award recognizes and honors outstanding women leaders from within the La Salle Community. Their work extends to various sectors of the economy and their achievements contribute greatly to local and university advancement while aligning with La Salle University’s mission.
These highly successful women are not only leaders but also advocates for the inclusion of women in leadership in business, government, education, religious life, family life and/or society. Their impact transcends socioeconomic status and their imprint is left on the hearts of those whom they lead.
