Major Gift Officer at Temple University
What activities was the nominee involved with as a student?
La Salle University Football, Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity
How has the nominee remained active as an alumnus?
I frequently attend and support alumni events and donate to the university.
I have been involved as a volunteer with my local fraternity chapter since graduation- serving as a local Alumni Chapter President and a national level alumni Commissioner. During my time with the alumni group I worked with university officials to return the group to campus after its closure. I frequently interact with undergraduate students in the organization to help guide and support them as well as provide professional development and networking.
I understand the principles and importance of fundraising to non-profit boards. I have managed a dozen political campaigns at the state, federal and local level, each requiring constructing of volunteer organizations and building group consensus toward shared goals.
Why does the nominee want to run for the Alumni Board?
“La Salle was a major influence in my life, which set me on the personal and professional path I am on today. I believe I would make a valuable asset to the alumni board due to my extensive experience and expertise in higher education, non-profits and politics, managing 18 alumni boards, both domestic and internationally, as well as recruiting and training volunteers. I have a strong desire to give back to and improve La Salle University and feel my extensive experience in the field will allow me to do that.”
