Communication Department Board member as a senior (1992-1993; selected Professor Mike Smith). AERho member and treasurer. WEXP radio host. Founding Father of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Worked at Hayman Hall for four years (including three as a manager) and assisted with numerous special events and activities. How has the nominee remained active as an alumnus?

As a leader of the South Jersey Alumni Club since helping to kick-start efforts in 2011, I have helped prospective students and freshman by representing La Salle at college fairs and welcoming incoming students and their families; networked with alumni at numerous business breakfasts, evening socials, and basketball watch parties; and volunteered at alumni outings at the Cherry Hill Food Pantry, South Camden Theatre Company, and Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore. I was a guest lecturer for undergraduate communications course on International Public Relations and Marketing & Communications (March 2004) and served as a panelist to speak to a freshman FYO group about how to choose a major (October 2009). In 2015, I participated in the inauguration of Colleen Hanycz. I delivered the keynote address at Sigma Phi Epsilon’s 25th anniversary banquet (April 2016). I participated in La Salle Blue & Gold Day (April 2016) and Alumni Reengagement Conference (April 2018).

Why does the nominee want to run for the Alumni Board?

“I was extremely involved on campus as an undergrad and have been so as an alumnus, particularly since 2011. My experience as a student was rich and fulfilling. For more than half a decade, I have gotten to know and collaborate with key members of the University Alumni Relations staff as well as members of the Alumni Board and local volunteers, all of whom exhibit a tremendous amount of dedication to La Salle that is inspiring. I believe that I can continue to make a difference for the University, its students, and alumni by furthering my involvement as a member of the Alumni Board.”
