Alumni Involvement: For his first term on the Board, Joe was an active member on the Alumni Career Committee which launched the Explorer Shadow Program, Finance and Investment Committee, and Hall of Athletes Committee.  He also participated in the Alumni Re-Engagement conference.

Regularly attends key La Salle events, such as the Charter Dinner, the President’s Cup golf outing, the Friends of Brother Gerry golf outing, and the Holroyd Lecture; regular basketball season ticket holder; helped to fund the Joseph G. Markmann Golf Center at La Salle University; helped to create opportunities for La Salle students at PwC by participating in the La Salle Job Fair, interviewing internship candidates, and serving as a judge for PwC’s accounting case study.

Why does the nominee want to run for the Alumni Board?

“It is my desire to continue my contributions to La Salle through a leadership role on the Alumni Board of Directors, support its mission and vision, and help drive the growth of the University through increased alumni participation.

There are three things I would like to accomplish as an Alumni Board member:

  1. Increase general alumni presence on the campus.
  2. Increase the proportion of alumni contributing financially to the University
  3. Strengthen the alumni network to create a better channel for undergraduate job opportunities.
