Terence J. (“T.J.”) McCarrick Jr., Esq., ‘12

Since graduating, I have continued to work closely with the La Salle University Mock Trial Association (“LMTA”). Each year, LMTA hosts the Blue & Gold Invitational—a competition for Pennsylvania high school students where I serve as Tabulation Direction. Additionally, I regularly communicate with students, attend practice, edit speeches and examinations, and scrimmage participants in preparation for competition. I have also participated in Legal Careers Night to talk with current students about attending law school.
Why would you like to serve on the Alumni Board?
“La Salle did wonders for me in terms of personal, professional, and intellectual growth. Now, it’s my turn to give back. As an alumnus of both La Salle College High School and the University, I believe I understand the importance of the Lasallian educational tradition and the challenges it—and Christian Brothers Institutions—face. In advancing that tradition, as laypersons increasingly must, I will seek out and demand excellence, from students, the University, and alumni stakeholders. Creating linkages between those groups is critical to the enduring success of the University and its students. And I’ve found there are few better ways to encourage academic excellence than by promoting alumni investment in the next generation of professionals and leaders. I can promise to ask—and answer—the tough questions La Salle will need to answer in the coming years.”
Terence’s current term expires in 2020.
