The 1966 classic “See you in September” by The Happenings has special meaning this year ,as we are challenged to actually “see” each other amidst the continuing COVID19 pandemic. La Salle students and faculty are in remote learning mode. Social distancing prevents our typical fall Alumni events from happening in person. The Alumni Association and Alumni Engagement Office has worked on many virtual engagement initiatives to help us stay connected.
What remains very inspirational for me is how alumni are working together to enrich and enhance their engagement with the University over the last few months. Thank you to our Explorer alumni for responding to our recent calls for volunteers. From the La Salle Alumni Book Club, Alumni Ambassador Program, Explorer Career Connections Network, and Virtual Explorer Executive on Campus, over 400 alumni have become re-engaged with our alma mater and will begin their work shortly on these initiatives. Please note there is still time for you to help out with any of the above programs.
The Alumni Association is committed to supporting you and your journey in any way we can. Here are a few more examples of how to stay involved at La Salle:
The Meet the Deans Series is a chance to hear directly from each of our three schools’ deans on upcoming new programs and exciting new partnerships that will prepare students for life after La Salle, maximize their career potential, and contribute to the greater good. Sign up for the sessions Arts and Sciences, Business, and Nursing and Health Sciences to get a full picture of our mission.
The Owning Your Career Series, sponsored by the Alumni Association, is excited to host a four-part Job Search Boot Camp beginning on Tuesday, October 6 with Debra Franke.
