Offered by the Graduate Division of La Salle University in collaboration with the Middle States Regional Office of the College Board.
While professional development is not required to prepare for 2019-20 AP course updates and new classroom resources, the College Board encourages AP teachers to take advantage of the professional development offered by the AP. Based on survey data, teachers across the country have found AP professional development to be extremely valuable.
Teachers who do attend an AP Summer Institute in 2019 should be able to:
Courses will be offered at La Salle University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, July 15 to July 18, 2019. Classes are scheduled Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration and class schedules for all courses are as follows:

$1,635 (3 Graduate Credits)
The cost of each course is $1,350. The tuition includes payment for course materials. Textbooks, which may be required for some courses, are not included in the tuition. If your course requires you to purchase a textbook, you will be notified in writing. The course tuition is $1,350 to Audit OR $1,635 for 3 graduate credits. You must choose whether you will take the course for audit when you register for the course.
PLEASE NOTE: La Salle University is a for-credit Act 48 Provider. Act 48 credits will only be submitted for participants taking a course for credit. Please check with your home district/school regarding Act 48 credits if you audit a course.
If a course is taken for credit, you will be required to complete an assignment due after the institute has ended. The course instructors will also give directions and guidelines in regards to the project during the week of the program. The instructor of the course will provide you with a due date. A letter grade (i.e. “A,” “B,” “C,” etc.) will be assigned once the project is completed and submitted. After the instructor receives your project and submits your grade, ACT 48 credits will be applied.
If you take a course for audit, you are not required to complete an additional assignment for the course. In this instance, a grade of “X” will be recorded on your transcript to verify that you have attended and completed the class.
Teachers who are currently employed as full-time teachers in Catholic schools within the dioceses of Philadelphia, Pa., Allentown, Pa., Trenton, N.J., Camden, N.J., and Wilmington, Del., will be granted a 30 percent tuition discount. If you are eligible for this discount, you must submit a letter from your principal indicating that you will be teaching in your present school during the 2018-2019 academic year.
Registration for courses and housing, if desired, must be made in advance. You may register online by completing the La Salle University Graduate AP Program Application and choosing your course at the end of the application.
Because registration for all courses must be limited, students will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. All courses will run concurrently; consequently, you may register for only one course.
By using the online Graduate Program Application, you will be billed once your registration has been processed. Billing for summer session courses begins in May.

Electronic payment options are available. You will need your seven digit La Salle University student ID number in order to complete the transaction. This number will be sent to you in the mail.
If you prefer to pay by mail or are sending a purchase order, please, include your seven digit La Salle University student ID number on the face of the check or purchase order to ensure accurate and timely processing.

All cancellations must be received prior to July 1, 2019, in writing to the AP Coordinator. The University reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment or for any other reason.
