In anticipation of Hurricane Sandy’s impact on the Philadelphia area, the University has cancelled all classes and activities on Monday, Oct. 29, and Tuesday, Oct. 30, at all locations.
Students are encouraged to return to their homes on Sunday if it is possible to do so. Students who traveled home for the weekend are encouraged to remain there for the duration of the anticipated storm. Arrangements have been made for residence hall students who will need to stay on campus. If needed, students may be relocated to temporary housing.
There will be no changes to La Salle Dining weekend operations. Beginning Monday, a change in dining operations may be required depending on the storm’s impact. Visit www.lasalle.edu/dining, or the mylasalle portal for the latest information about La Salle Dining operations.
It is expected that the Hayman Center and IBC Fitness Center will remain open. Any changes to hours or operations will be found at www.lasalle.edu/recreation, or the mylasalle portal.
Due to the pending storm, the spring 2013 undergraduate pre-registration schedule has been adjusted to allow for proper time to seek academic advisement:
- Juniors who were scheduled to pre-register on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, are now scheduled to pre-register on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8.
- Sophomores who were scheduled to pre-register on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8, are now scheduled to pre-register on Nov. 14 and Nov. 15.
- Freshmen who were scheduled to pre-register on Nov. 14 and Nov. 15, are now scheduled to pre-register on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20.
A personalized email message will be sent from the Office of the Registrar to each student’s La Salle e-mail address providing them with their new pre-registration date and time.
Please continue to monitor www.lasalle.edu, the mylasalle portal, or the weather emergency hotline (215.951.1910) during this time for updates.
Updates will also be available on the University’s Facebook page and Twitter account, which will continue to be accessible if La Salle’s web services are disrupted.
University offices will be closed on Monday, Oct. 29 and Tuesday, Oct. 30. Essential personnel will report as usual.
