Eileen Thanner and her team in Commercial Leadership at Coca-Cola are focused on enhancing value for the organization and providing solutions to grow Coca-Cola’s beverage business. Prior to this role, Eileen was Vice President, Region Commercial Marketing and Execution, where she was responsible for the commercialization of brand plans in the local markets, led consumer, shopper and multi-cultural marketing for the local sales teams, and negotiated contracts for professional teams and their top 180 colleges and universities. She has held both field- and headquarters-based roles during her 17 years in the Coca-Cola system, and before Coca-Cola, Eileen served in the customer planning area for Nabisco Biscuit Company. Eileen is active in the Atlanta Community, serving on the Honorary Board of Special Olympics and the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. In 2011 she introduced the Women’s Giving Circle for the Boys and Girls Club, created to fund programs designed specifically for girls ages 6-18. Also, in 2012 Eileen worked with the PGA Tour to create an Executive Women’s Day for the Tour Championship, sponsored by Coca-Cola, which has now become an annual event.
Eileen is a 1990 graduate of the School of Business earning a degree in finance, and she completed the University of Notre Dame’s Integral Leadership Program. Eileen lives in Atlanta with her husband, Jim, and four children.
