Ralph Hall joined the School of Business faculty as Executive in Residence in January 2010. Prior to joining the faculty, he spent 35 years primarily in the financial services industry of which 20 years were at the CEO or COO level. His career as an executive at General Motors Acceptance Corporation included Chairman of GMAC Bank (now Ally Bank), President and CEO of GMAC Capital Corporation, Chief Operating Officer of GMAC Residential Holdings which included GMAC Mortgage, ditech, GMAC Wholesale, CapRe (a reinsurance company) and several other financial subsidiaries. During his career Mr. Hall also held positions as President and CEO of GreenPoint Mortgage and EVP of GreenPoint Bank, Senior Manager at Andersen Consulting and Vice President of Citicorp.
After spending 4 years in the Marine Corps Mr. Hall who is a native of St Louis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southeast Missouri State University and received an MBA from the University of Houston. He also earned a Diploma from the University Of Illinois Graduate School Of Banking. He has served on the Boards of professional and nonprofit organizations and well as financial services companies.
