Management and Leadership

Patrick Coyle is part of the Management and Leadership Department.  Born in Lansdale, PA, he grew up in southern New Jersey.  He completed his B.S. in business administration as well as his M.B.A. at Rowan University, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology at Virginia Tech.  His research focuses on three aspects of organizational behavior and human resources: 1) leadership, 2) individual differences, and 3) organizational effectiveness.  He is particularly interested in the roles of individual differences and perceptions in shaping the dynamic between leaders and followers.  He enjoys playing golf, running, and hiking in his free time, and can play the piano quite well.  He was born in Lansdale, PA, and is happy to be home!
