Is La Salle’s Hybrid MBA program a part-time or full-time program?

The program is a part-time evening/weekend program. The program is structured to provide full time working professionals with comprehensive business education in the evenings and weekend.  For the working professional, La Salle offers an online MBA program, which is fully online.

A Full-time MBA program is available for students who plan to take 12 credits per semester in daytime classes.

Is the MBA program accredited?

La Salle’s Master of Business Administration is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Less than 5 percent of business programs worldwide are accredited by AACSB.

Can the GMAT be waived?

The GMAT (or GRE, which we accept) may be waived or deferred based an individual’s prior academic success, professional experience and credentials.

Can I complete the MBA program at one of La Salle’s satellite campuses?

Classes are offered weeknights (Monday – Thursday) at two locations and on Saturdays at our Philadelphia location.

The Main Campus in Philadelphia is located at 20th Street and Olney Avenue and the Montgomery County Center is located at Victory Plaza at 222 West Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Is it possible to have courses waived based on my background?

Yes. Foundation courses may be waived based on undergraduate or previous graduate coursework. Students must have received grades of “B” or better in equivalent undergraduate coursework. If a waiver is not granted, students may opt to take waiver examinations.

How can I find out how many credits I will need to complete my degree?

The number of credits required depends on your prior academic and professional experience. There is a required minimum of 33 credits and a required maximum of 45 credits. The easiest way to see how many courses will be required is to request a Model Roster, which outlines the courses that you will need to take to complete your MBA.

Just e-mail a copy of your undergraduate transcript and your resume to the MBA office at mba@lasalle.edu. We will review your credentials and then e-mail your proposed Model Roster to you.

Is it possible to transfer credits from another MBA program?

Students may be able to transfer up to six credits from another AACSB-accredited MBA program. A grade of “B” or better is required. Each request must be pre-approved by the Program Director and will be evaluated on its own merits.

How long will it take to complete the MBA program?

This will depend upon how many credits you need to take and how many credits you choose to take per semester. The program can be completed in as few as 12 months. However, the average length of time for part-time degree completion is two to three years.

What are the specializations in the MBA program?

Students may specialize in accounting, finance, management, business systems and analytics, marketing, or general business administration.

Is it possible to register for MBA courses prior to being admitted to La Salle’s program?

Students may only take classes if they are admitted to our program, under Full Admission, Qualified Admission or Conditional Admission Status.  Qualified and conditional Admission can begin their MBA program, while fulfilling the requirements for full admission. Classes taken under in any admissions status will apply to a student’s degree completion.

When is the application deadline?

All documents must be submitted by Aug. 15 (Fall), Dec. 15 (Spring), and April 15 (Summer). Under special circumstances, students may be admitted up to the first day of classes of each term.

International student applications should be complete at least two months prior to the dates listed above.

Can I apply online?

What documents are required to apply?

The application process is quick and easy! All we need are:
· Application form and fee (fee waived for online applicants)
· Official transcripts (from all undergraduate and graduate universities/colleges, and community colleges that you attended )
· Professional up-to-date resume
· GMAT/GRE test scores

How long is each semester/session?

Fall and spring semesters are 15 weeks, and the summer session is 11 weeks. Intersession classes are offered between the fall and spring semesters and between the summer and fall semesters. The intersessions are two to three weeks in length, with classes being offered on weekends and several weeknights.

When do classes meet?

Most classes meet one evening per week, Monday through Thursday:

  • Fall and Spring from 6:15 to 8:55 m.
  • Summer from 6:00-9:30pm

Are career services available?

A variety of career and employment services are available for our MBA students, including employer contacts and networking opportunities.  MBA students are encourage to utilize our career management tool, Handshake, and the services of our Career Services.

Is financial aid available?

Part-time students can apply for need-based financial aid. Please contact the Student Financial Services office at 215.951.1070. There are a limited number of scholarships available each semester, which can provide some support. The MBA office will provide information prior to the beginning of each semester.

How does an international student apply for admission?

International students must prepare an International Graduate Admission Application and complete Financial Responsibility and Educational Summary forms from a Program Director. TOEFL scores also must be submitted.

The MBA program with specialization in Business Systems and Analytics meets the requirements of what the Department of Homeland Security considers to be a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field of study. International students who graduate from this program may be eligible to apply for a 24-month OPT extension.
