Prospective Employers

La Salle’s Business Scholars Co-op Program uniquely combines real world experience in two co-op work opportunities with its progressive business curriculum, while enabling the students to graduate in four years. The students who participate in the program are driven, hard-working and motivated, and hiring them through the co-op program gives our corporate partners a chance to develop a relationship with our best and brightest before graduation!

As one of our partners stated after working with La Salle Co-op Scholars, “When evaluating candidates, I seek out students who reflect values similar to those of my firm, including teamwork and leadership. The La Salle Business Co-op Scholars students not only demonstrate these qualities, but they are also extremely hard-working and dedicated. These students understand the value of investing in both themselves and in their employer to build a mutually beneficial relationship and a highly successful career. I am thrilled to give these students the opportunity to thrive at my firm.” – AmyLynn Flood, ’95, Partner at PwC

Students chosen for this selective program are the next generation of Lasallian business leaders. They are recruited based upon their superior academic achievements (SAT of 1200 or higher, G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher, graduating in the top quartile of their class) and their demonstrated leadership skills inside and outside the classroom.  The application process includes interviews and selection by the Business Scholars Co-op Committee.

Additional information:

  • Students are enrolled in one of seven major programs:  Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, International Business, Management and Leadership, Business Systems and Analytics, or Marketing.
  • The full-time co-ops occur in the summer of the sophomore year and either the spring/summer of the student’s junior year or in the summer/fall  of their senior year.
  •  The Academic/Work Term Sequence lays out the timeline of the program.
  • The Business Scholars Co-op Program office works closely with our interested employers to understand their current needs and encourages students to apply to posted positions on ExploreNet (La Salle’s online job posting database).
  • The employer then reviews and chooses the candidate who best meets the qualifications for the specific job posting.
