Prospective Students

What does it take to be a Business Co-op Scholar? We are looking for students who are leaders both inside and outside the classroom. The Business Scholars Co-op Program follows a rigorous schedule, as outlined in the Academic/Work Term Sequence.

Summers are spent either taking courses or working at a co-op job. Therefore, Business Co-op Scholars are highly motivated, active, and engaged students who excel academically and are hungry to dive into an education that provides for experiential learning.

The Business Co-op Scholar will generally possess:

  • SAT score of 1200 or higher (Critical Reading/Math)
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Rank within the first quartile of graduating class
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

The application process may include candidate interviews by the Business Scholars Co-op Program Director.

Once accepted into the program, students can major in one of the seven academic programs: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, International Business, Management and Leadership, Business Systems and Analytics, or Marketing.

At La Salle, we don’t believe in mass producing business school graduates; we believe that each student’s academic career is unique. In support of this value, our Business Scholars Co-op Program’s Director mentors each of the participating students, working with them closely in an adviser role and offering guidance throughout their time at La Salle University.
