Winter and Summer Institutes
The Institutes offer the La Salle community opportunities to engage in sustained conversations about pedagogy, curriculum, assessment, learning technologies, community-engaged teaching and learning, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and other professional development areas. Each Institute features speakers who offer invitations to deepen our teaching philosophies, diversify our teaching strategies, and consider how we bridge teaching and research. Institutes are open to all faculty and staff. (Student co-presenters are welcome.)
Remote Teaching and Learning
The De La Salle Institute, together with the Instructional Design Team and Connelly Library, designed and conducted a roster of pandemic-era training workshops and conversations. Recordings and resources are posted on Canvas in the DLSI’s Training and Workshops Course and/or in the Canvas Training Hub. The recordings are available to La Salle faculty and staff for educational purposes only.
Community-Engaged Teaching & Learning
Join opportunities to learn together with colleagues through reading cohorts and informal coffee/tea sessions.
Access opportunities for teaching and learning beyond the traditional classroom via Explorer Cafés and related programming.
Many of the sessions require registration or access via a Zoom meeting link. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
We collaborate with campus partners on opportunities for teaching and learning both inside and outside of the classroom. Check the calendar frequently for updates.
