Having been a nurse educator for more than 30 years and a practicing nurse for more than 40 years enables Dr. Dillon to provide a context for students when teaching. Her area of focus is the adult medical-surgical patient with her clinical experience primarily in acute care at all levels including staff, manager, and CNS.

Her areas of research interest include the clinical experience in nursing education, simulation as an educational strategy, patient safety, and inter-professional collaboration.
