Here at La Salle University, we encourage everyone to recycle whenever possible. Throughout the day, our staff collects recycled material, which is taken to dumpsters that our recycle vendor collects each week.
The City of Philadelphia is working toward a “Greener tomorrow,” and La Salle University is also contributing its part. We strive to be a community that is environmental friendly and continue to improve on our practices. In Facilities Management, when we begin a new project, we keep the environment in mind and work toward purchasing products made of recycled content, and we also recycle building materials whenever possible. Furthermore, we install energy-efficient products including lighting, water fixtures, and energy management systems. In our most recent building construction project for the Holroyd Science Center, we installed a new “Green Roof,” which covers over 8,000 square feet of its surface.
