I have been in the field of education for the past 37 years. I am certified both in general education and special education and principal/supervisor in New Jersey. I have had the privilege of teaching from first grade through high school in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. My devotion is the special needs population and that is reflected in my teaching of both undergraduate and graduate courses. I was Director of the Graduate Inclusion Program for 14 years that served children from early childhood through high school. The focus also was on relationships with families. In 2009 I was appointed Associate Director, Autism Program. I co-authored the Proposal for an Autism Certificate, Education Department. It was approved and LaSalle now has a four course sequence, 12 credits, to obtain the Certificate. I am on the Dean’s Committee for The LADDER Family Center ( LaSalle Autism Developmental Disabilities). I also have an active role each year with the annual Autism Conference at LaSalle in partnership with the Greentree School.
