This academic year, La Salle University celebrates its 160th anniversary of receiving its charter from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. At the time, our name was La Salle College.  

Much more than our name has changed since then.  

To commemorate this milestone, La Salle Magazine—in partnership with University Archives—is exploring La Salle’s storied history. This includes:

• A look at the people behind the names of locations on campus. 
• A flashback to previous University Presidential Inaugurations. 
• Lesser-known fun facts about the University.
