In August, La Salle’s School of Business welcomed its largest freshman class since 2008. More than 200 members of the Class of 2019 have noted their intention to study in one of the seven majors the school offers. This milestone is thanks in part to a robust marketing campaign to promote the new School of Business facility and its innovative academic offerings.

“We’re delighted to see that more high-achieving students have chosen La Salle for their business education and have seen the value of Lasallian business,” said Gary A. Giamartino, Ph.D., Dean of La Salle’s School of Business. “Our strategic and targeted marketing efforts yielded higher applications, more acceptances, and more enrollments in our premier programs, including the 4-Year BS/MBA Program and the Business Scholars Co-op Program.”

The new School of Business building is also on the rise, with progress on construction reaching new heights over the past few months. All structural steel work is complete; the roof and masonry work are nearly finished; and all of the electrical and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment has been installed.

Exterior window installation is complete on the three-story building and has begun on the six-story building. Inside, the interior partitions in the three-story building are done and are steadily progressing in the six-story building.

As the new facility nears completion and anticipation continues to build for its 2016 opening, the University is also fortifying the academic foundation of the School of Business curriculum.

This exciting process will involve detailed programmatic analysis that will position La Salle as a leader in 21st-century business education, and we look forward to sharing those exciting changes throughout this coming academic year.
