The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) recognized Robert L. Luddy, ’68, in its inaugural class of AACSB 100 Influential Leaders as one of the top 100 business school alumni whose ideas and actions make a positive impact on society. La Salle University President Colleen M. Hanycz, Ph.D., along with Board of Trustees, presented Luddy with the honor at the Board meeting in October.

Other notable business leaders recognized by AACSB include Colin Powell, former United States Secretary of State; the late Sam Walton, founder of Walmart and Sam’s Club; Jeffrey Clarke, Chief Executive Officer of Eastman Kodak; and Carolyn Woo, President of Catholic Relief Services, among others.

President of Raleigh, N.C.-based CaptiveAire Systems, the nation’s leading manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation systems, Luddy is also a strong advocate of education and founder of Franklin Academy, St. Thomas More Academy, and Thales Academy in North Carolina. His support of the La Salle Center for Entrepreneurship and his leadership commitment to the School of Business have greatly helped to strengthen business education at La Salle University.
