TIBETAN MONKS CRAFT SAND MANDALA

The Tibetan Buddhist monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery created an intricate work of art during a visit to the La Salle University Art Museum this April. Once the mandala was complete, the monks performed a ritual in which they brushed the grains of sand back together, recognizing the reality of impermanence.
