Philosophy
La Salle University is no longer accepting applications for or enrolling new students in this program.
Theology, at its best, connects with everyday life. La Salle’s Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry provides a solid theological education, preparing students for lay ministry in the church, as well as providing a foundation for more advanced studies. But more importantly, it strives to teach tomorrow’s religious leaders how to speak credibly about faith in the contemporary world.
Roman Catholic in its orientation, the program seeks to foster a truly ecumenical spirit with a faculty and student body representing various Christian churches and faith traditions.
Methodologically, our programs follow the centuries-old university tradition of education that is open to the diversity of events, ideas, and the physical as well as social sciences and technologies that shape our world today. The core faculty is made up of skilled teachers from various fields of religious expertise who support La Salle’s mission to advance knowledge and promote professional development.
Concentrations are available in Theology, Religious Education, Pastoral Care, Liturgical Studies, and Church Ministry.
