Lisa Alberts, DNP

Lisa Alberts is a dually board certified advanced practice nurse in both adult health and psychiatric mental health.  She has over 30 years of nursing experience in a variety of healthcare settings.  As an advanced practice nurse for over 20 years, her expertise includes primary healthcare for adults as well as psychiatric and mental/behavioral healthcare to patients in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.  In addition to maintaining a full time clinical practice, Dr. Alberts has held supervisory roles in healthcare administration and has led transdisciplinary teams in a residential treatment facility. Her research interests and expertise are in treating children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.

Dr. Alberts has been teaching online as an adjunct instructor at La Salle for 3 years and has just joined La Salle as a full time faculty.  Prior to that she provided adjunct support at Drexel University School of Nursing and was a clinical preceptor for graduate nursing students from La Salle and University of Pennsylvania.  She currently teaches Advanced Roles and Population Health online, and will be teaching Advanced Psychopharmacology in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at La Salle.
