Superior General Brother Robert Schieler Receives Br. Teliow Fackeldey Medal

Brother Robert Schieler, FSC, ’72, wears the Teliow Fackeldey, FSC, Presidential Medal Award for Outstanding Integrity, Merit and Public Service—one of the highest honors awarded by La Salle University. He is flanked by Brother Ernest Miller, FSC, D. Min., Vice President for Mission, and Dr. Colleen Hanycz, University President.

 

La Salle University President Dr. Colleen Hanycz presented Br. Robert Schieler, FSC, ’72, with the Brother Teliow Fackeldey, FSC, Presidential Medal Award for Outstanding integrity, Merit and Public Service—one of the highest honors awarded by the University. The Presidential Medal is named in honor Br. Teliow, the founding president of the University.

A La Salle alumnus, Br. Robert serves as the Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. He is the 27th successor of Saint La Salle.

Br. Robert visited the University Nov. 8 to deliver a keynote address engaging a few thousand Lasallian educators on Lasallian Association by simulcast to multiple cluster sites across the Brothers’ District of Eastern North America (DENA). Learn more about his visit.
