Tim O’Shaughnessy, ’85, joined the University’s Executive Cabinet in January 2021 as Executive Vice President. He has more than 30 years of executive experience across the private and non-profit sectors.
Prior to joining La Salle, O’Shaughnessy served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. In that role, he helped direct a financial turnaround of the archdiocese by eliminating a significant operating deficit and improving the balance sheet by more than a quarter billion dollars. He also played a lead role in the financial oversight and fundraising activities for the World Meeting of Families and Pope Francis’ visit to Philadelphia—both in 2015. O’Shaughnessy began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Philadelphia and, subsequently, held executive positions at Aramark and St. Joseph’s Preparatory School. He is a former audit committee member of Holy Family University and was a founding board member of the Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School.
O’Shaughnessy earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor of science in business administration from La Salle University.
