Program Overview
With an emphasis on social justice and respect for each individual, La Salle’s Public Health programs prepare students to work in health education, health promotion, and disease prevention initiatives in their local communities and around the world. These programs are rooted in the belief that the health and safety of a community as a whole is fundamentally linked to the welfare of its citizens.
Public health professionals with strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of the complexities of health-related issues and the health-care system, are in high demand. La Salle’s Bachelor of Science in Public Health program is meeting this need by preparing students for graduate-level study and for careers as advocates for improving the health and well-being of communities locally, nationally, and internationally.
