In the Nursing Learning Resource Center (NLRC), students sharpen their clinical skills and work with faculty to gain hands-on experience. Students can practice inserting IVs and feeding tubes using simulation tools and use case studies to examine real-life scenarios that they will face during clinical experiences and as professional nurses. A tutoring and simulation space is outfitted with resources that supplement in-class instruction and give students extra help in learning and putting into practice the content and skills they learn in their coursework. The NLRC reinforces the School of Nursing and Health Sciences’ emphasis on preparing nurses who are passionate about high-quality patient care, safety, and professionalism.
