Dr. Kinder graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1980 and decided to go back for her BSN as a working adult several years after practicing as an R.N., where she had worked in the neonatal-intensive care unit and various newborn nursery units in the area. She completed her BSN at La Salle in the R.N.-BSN program and then decided to attend Gwynedd-Mercy College for her MSN to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  Practicing as a PNP in the Bucks County area, she teaches pediatrics for the undergraduate and graduate programs at La Salle. She enjoys teaching leadership and public health. Dr. Kinder finished her Ph.D. in nursing at Widener University. Her dissertation explored parent satisfaction with PNP care and the intent to adhere to health regimen.

Her experience includes maternal/ child health and the neonatal intensive care.  She has worked as a transport team nurse, assistant nurse manager, preceptor, and supervisor.  She has also practiced in the acute care and community settings and has precept nurse practitioner students, remaining active in the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners organization and American Academy of Pediatrics.  In her classroom, she enjoys bringing clinical case studies and teaching the future generation of professional nurses.  Outside of La Salle, she serves as a Eucharistic Minister in her church and volunteers in her community.
