Renee Hudson-Small, MSW

Renee is a certified Licensed Social Worker (LSW).  She received her undergraduate degree in Sociology with a concentration in Human Services from Beaver College (now Arcadia University) and her Master’s in Social Work with a dual concentration in Displaced Populations and Child Welfare from Howard University.  Her direct service experience includes youth in residential care; families in community-based settings and those experiencing homelessness.  She has provided case management support during four disasters: Hurricanes Katrina, Sandy, Harvey, and Maria/Irma.

Renee views providing guidance to social work students as an important part of her commitment to the social work profession.  She believes the classroom is an opportunity to learn from students and other professors to enhance her teaching skills and become a more effective instructor.
