The summer is a great time to invest in yourself! The Career Center invites you to engage in our summer webinar series, “Career Readiness from your Couch”. Each week, we will dive into a professional development topic that is vital in ensuring your success beyond La Salle.

This webinar includes information on how to recognize one’s own strengths, skills, and interests that will help prepare you for an internship or future career. We will write reflections and discuss what employers are looking for in new professionals. After this session, you will be able to:

  • Define career readiness
  • Identify ways to build and continue your career readiness
  • Investigate your current Career Readiness through reflection

Working a job on campus is not only a way to earn extra cash, but it also allows you to build new skills and connections. In an on-campus job, you may be asked to work in a team, delegate tasks, provide customer service, lead/mentor peers, and organize events – all of which can set you up for success in a future interview and job. After this session, you will be able to:

  • Determine the benefits of working on campus
  • Identify ways in which work on-campus help with future employment
  • Use Handshake to search for on-campus jobs
