Answering the call

A message from the Office of the President

Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D.
Dear Explorers,

This year, I issued a challenge to our community—the Charter Challenge. I called on Explorers everywhere to support this one-year, $10 million fundraising initiative—to find inspiration in our extraordinary past, written over the last 160 years, and invest in our future.

A gift to the Charter Challenge is acknowledgment of the rigorous education we deliver, the nationally renowned return on investment of a La Salle degree, and the impactful campus and academic experiences provided for our students.

And you have answered the call.

Exceptional things are happening at La Salle University. Innovative programs are being created. Academic partnerships are being forged. Grants are being received. Gifts are being made. Transformation is happening before our eyes, and you will read about it in the pages of La Salle Magazine. Some of you may have already heard me speak about these exciting developments. In recent months, I have spoken with families and prospective students on campus, traveled to parts of the country for meetings with some of our remarkable alumni, and met with hundreds of alumni virtually through our “Charting La Salle’s Future: A conversation with the President” webinar.

The message is the same with each of these audiences: La Salle’s best days await us.

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D.
President
