La Salle Represents at NCAA Cross Country Championships

Four members of the men’s and women’s cross-country teams participated in the NCAA Cross Country Championships, hosted by Oklahoma State University, on Nov. 19.

Liz Mancini, ’22, M.S. ’23, cracked the top 100 in the 253-runner field. The graduate student crossed the line in 87th with a time of 20:31.6. The mark was just one second shy of tying her career best in the 6K achieved at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional the week prior. El Mancini, ’22, M.S. ’23, clocked in at 21:12.7 for 186th place.

Ibrahim Kedir, ’22, MBA ’23, kept a steady pace clocking in around the three-minute mark for each split. He placed 134th in the 252-runner field with a time of 30:28.3. Taonga Mbambo, ’23, clocked in at 32:04.0 in the contest.

Both the men’s and women’s teams finished second out of 15 schools at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships.
