More than 1,000 Explorers came #Back2LaSalle for Homecoming 2015 to revisit fond memories and reconnect with La Salle. Hosted by Alumni Relations, the weeklong celebration included something for everyone: awards ceremonies, lectures, campus tours, sporting events, networking opportunities, and, of course, the Homecoming Party, crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen, and the sold-out men’s basketball game vs. Towson.

“One of my favorite things about Homecoming is that it gives us the opportunity to bring the entire La Salle community together to enjoy one another’s company,” said Candy Hagamin, ’07, M.A. ’11, Assistant Director of Class and Affinity Programs for La Salle Alumni Relations.

A new event this year, the Walk with the Women of La Salle Athletics brought together more than 300 walkers to promote the University’s women’s athletic programs, raise more than $37,000 for all women’s sports, and celebrate our female athletes and coaches.

Laughter echoed from the Homecoming tents where guests enjoyed a delicious meal, a packed dance floor, and some family-friendly fun. Later, cheers erupted in Tom Gola Arena when the Explorers earned a 78-76 Homecoming victory over the Towson Tigers. “That was one of the most gritty, hard-nosed wins that I’ve had in my career going back to 1989,” Coach John Giannini said. “We fought and we didn’t turn it over, and we’re absolutely thrilled … I’m really proud of our guys.”
