Application Timeline

To be considered complete and eligible for review, we must receive your application and all supporting materials by January 15, 2026 for priority consideration.

  • January 15, 2026 – Spring 2027 Priority Application Deadline
    • Completed applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The application will remain open until the class is filled. The class is expected to be finalized by early May, however, limited movement may continue depending on admission activity.

Admission Requirements

  • A completed application
  • Official transcript(s) from all colleges/universities you have attended for your undergraduate and graduate degree, if applicable. If you are in the process of completing undergraduate coursework, you may submit transcripts with courses that are in progress. If admitted, we must receive your final, official transcript with the degree conferred date prior to enrollment.
    • In order for a transcript to be official, it must be received directly from the higher education institution or through an official third-party service such as Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse. Transcripts received from applicants and/or an unapproved third party will be considered unofficial.
    • Official transcripts must include an introductory statistics course, including inferential and descriptive statistics, and an undergraduate nursing research course.
  • Four (4) letters of recommendation from the following:
    • Nurse Manager
    • Physician (M.D. or D.O.) familiar with your critical care nursing skills
    • 2 additional healthcare professionals (unit charge RN, NP, medical unit director, CRNA, etc.) familiar with your professional nursing skills.
    • Please do NOT submit a letter of recommendation from a peer nursing colleague.
  • Statement of Interest
    • Please share why you want to be a CRNA, why you are choosing La Salle’s program, and where you see yourself in 5 years as it relates to your career goals. The essay should be a minimum of 1 page (no more than 2 pages) in Times New Roman font 12, double-spaced. 
  • Resume/CV
    • Include experiences since high school graduation
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited program
    • Minimum cumulative nursing degree GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • Current unencumbered United States Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification or similar equivalent i.e. CEN with exam score results
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Shadowing Form
    • Demonstrate completion of at least 15 hours of shadowing with an anesthesia provider within the last year. A qualified anesthesia provider must be a CRNA or Anesthesiologist.
  • Minimum of one year of critical care nursing experience. The Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) defines a critical care setting below.
    • Critical care experience must be obtained in a critical care area within the United States, its territories or a US military hospital outside of the United States. During this experience, the registered professional nurse has developed critical decision making and psychomotor skills, competency in patient assessment, and the ability to use and interpret advanced monitoring techniques. A critical care area is defined as one where, on a routine basis, the registered professional nurse manages one or more of the following: invasive hemodynamic monitors (e.g., pulmonary artery, central venous pressure, and arterial catheters), cardiac assist devices, mechanical ventilation, and vasoactive infusions. Examples of critical care units may include but are not limited to: surgical intensive care, cardiothoracic intensive care, coronary intensive care, medical intensive care, pediatric intensive care, and neonatal intensive care. Those who have experiences in other areas may be considered provided they can demonstrate competence with managing unstable patients, invasive monitoring, ventilators, and critical care pharmacology.
