Priority Scholarship Consideration

Program-length scholarships are generally reserved for full-time students in the one-year program. Priority consideration for these scholarships will be given to completed applications, including accompanying material, received by March 1 for the summer semester. Applications received after May 1 or for part-time applicants may still considered for scholarships depending on scholarship availability.

Rolling Application Deadlines

Applications are reviewed as soon as they are completed and decisions are made throughout the admission cycle until all available spots are filled. Students may start in the Spring, Summer, or Fall.

We will continue to review completed applications after the posted deadline as space allows. Please reach out to grad@lasalle.edu for more information.

Summer (full-time, one year) – May 10

Fall 1 – August 10

Fall 2 – October 10

Spring 1 – December 10

Spring 2 – March 1

Admission Requirements

To be accepted into the One-Year, Part-time, or certificate in Strategic Communication programs a prospective student must present the following:

  • A completed application
  • Resume/CV
  • Official transcript(s) from all colleges/universities you have attended for your undergraduate and graduate degree, if applicable.  You need to have completed your undergraduate program from an accredited college/university. If you are in the process of completing undergraduate coursework, you may submit transcripts with courses that are in progress. If admitted, you must submit your final, official transcript(s) with the degree conferred date prior to enrollment.
    • In order for a transcript to be official, it must be received directly from the college/university or through an official third-party service such as Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse. Transcripts received from applicants and/or an unapproved third party will be considered unofficial.
    • If you completed your undergraduate degree from a non-US University, you must submit your transcripts for evaluation through an approved International Evaluation Service. International students must possess the equivalent of a 4-year bachelor’s degree and provide official proof of English Language Proficiency examination scores. Information for international students may be found here.
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation from an academic and/or professional reference who can attest to your motivation and ability to succeed in graduate studies
    • Letters of recommendation may be waived if your undergraduate, cumulative GPA is above a 3.25
  • Program consultation with the program director by phone or in-person.
  • Essay/Personal Statement
    • Please describe your reasons for pursuing a graduate program in Strategic Communication at La Salle University. We are interested in reading about your career experiences and goals in the statement. You may also include any information about you which you believe will further demonstrate your qualifications for our program. Minimum 500 words.

Students who complete the Strategic Communication Certificate with a 3.0 GPA or higher are eligible for admission to the M.A. Program. They must inform the Graduate Director of their intent to move into the M.A. Program at least one semester in advance.

Selection Criteria
