A message from the Office of the President

Dear Explorers,

As we look forward to our undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies this May, I am excited to welcome new members to our strong and growing alumni community.

It is always a proud moment when I see another class of our graduates walk across the stage as they close the chapter on one journey and begin another. Like this year’s senior class, all of our alumni have stories to tell of their La Salle experience.

Within the pages of this edition of La Salle Magazine, we hear from a handful of alumni who share their personal stories and career journeys. All of them have built their success from a foundation grounded in the teachings of a Lasallian education.

By being equipped with that Lasallian education, they’re making a real impact within their communities and beyond.

We currently have accounting graduates at the helm of finance departments for three of our city’s professional sports teams. Five of our alumni are leading as presidents of Catholic high schools across Philadelphia.

We’ve also seen our tremendous alumni network give back to their alma mater through gifts, mentoring, and other support—showcasing just how much a La Salle education means to them and how they want to see current and future Explorers receive that same experience.

It’s clear that a La Salle education pays off, and we’re not the only ones who think so!

We’ve been recognized by several outlets and organizations, including U.S. News and World Report and the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, for our contributions to both the Explorer and wider community.

I am incredibly proud and grateful for the community we’ve built at 20th and Olney. Even after someone’s time on campus ends, the impact and the reach we’ve created here extends far beyond our campus.

I cannot wait to see what’s ahead, and I am incredibly appreciative of your steadfast support as we continue this momentum forward.

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D.
