Generally, if an applicant has completed the following courses: Physical Assessment, Advanced Pharmacology, and Pathophysiology, they may begin in the Summer (May). If an applicant has not yet completed the listed courses, they may start in the Fall (August). To determine your start, please submit your completed application or connect with us at grad@lasalle.edu for more details.
How are clinical placements handled?
The program assists with securing clinical placements, but students are also encouraged to network and identify potential preceptors. All placements must be approved by the program.
Can I complete clinicals in my state if I live outside of the University’s location?
Possibly. State Board of Nursing (SBON) and online learning regulations, can vary by state. Students must reside in a state where the university is authorized to deliver online nursing education and approve clinical experiences. We strongly recommend checking with your state’s SBON and contacting our office to confirm eligibility before applying.
Licensure and Certification
Will I be eligible to sit for certification after graduation?
Yes, graduates are eligible for certification after successful completion of the program.
Does the program meet licensure requirements in all states?
While the program meets national standards, licensure requirements vary by state. We advise students to check with their state board of nursing.
