When Turki Alokievi came to the United States, he hoped to carry more than 30 credits from the college he attended overseas with him. But, he found the transfer process to be less than flexible at other schools.

That’s why, he says, transferring to La Salle from another local university was the best decision. “La Salle accepted a majority of my credits that other schools wouldn’t, speeding up my time to completing my degree,” he says.

The ease of the transfer process motivated him to work even harder and he increased his GPA. “The flexibility and welcoming I have received has been amazing,”

As Turki has blazed his own path at La Salle, his dreams keep unfolding in front of him. “My original goal was getting my bachelor’s in accounting,” he says. “But now, I dream even bigger and want to complete my graduate degree.”
