Undergraduate Admissions

La Salle will transform you from a learner into a leader.

A La Salle University education is personal, empowering, and rewarding.

Here, hands-on learning and practical experiences will prepare you for a thriving professional career. The way we teach will help you develop critical thinking skills. The campus close-knit environment, fueled by interaction and involvement, will prepare you to use wisdom, knowledge, and faith to transform lives.

Creative Teaching Builds Critical Thinking Skills.

Creative teaching and experiential learning extends beyond the classroom, aligning with your own interests and career goals. You will gain insight and respect for others as part of a diverse community of learners who are working together to build a better community and world.

Small Classes Offer Personal Support.

You’ll be challenged here, but you will be supported and receive personalized attention every step of the way. Courses are 100% faculty taught with no teaching assistants in small-size classes offering one-on-one support. Faculty, staff, Christian Brothers, alumni, and fellow students will share their wisdom, strength, and confidence to guide you on your unique journey.

Admission Requirements

We’ll learn about you from essays, recommendations, transcripts, and your activities profile. They will help to shape our overall understanding of your high school career, life experiences, and determine your preparation for La Salle.

The following is required of all undergraduate applicants to La Salle University:

  • The La Salle Application or The Common Application
  • An official transcript showing three years of high school grades
  • An academic letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, parent, or school administrator
  • An essay or personal statement

La Salle University is Test-Free

As part of a pilot program, La Salle will no longer consider standardized tests for admission or merit scholarships. We will pilot this program for applicants for Fall 2023, 2024, and 2025.

It is clear to us that the best predictor of success in the La Salle classroom is each candidate’s high school curriculum and grades. These factors will also drive our academic scholarship decisions.

Enriching Your Academic Experience

La Salle University has specially-designed programs that enrich your academic experience beyond your selected major. These offerings provide you with the opportunity to customize your education to your strengths and gain real-world work experience at top companies.

Philly is Part of Our Classroom.

Philadelphia provides the opportunities and experiences you would expect from the sixth-largest city and fourth-largest media market in the nation. Numerous global corporations, nonprofit organizations, leading media outlets, and professional sports teams call Philly home. From the moment you step foot on campus, Philadelphia will become your classroom and your playground.

The community is amazing here, everyone is super friendly and amazing to talk to, and the teachers are passionate about their subject and extremely helpful. Also, the business program is not just writing notes, it’s hands-on activities.
