Costs and Payments

Can I receive any financial aid?

All international undergraduate students are eligible to be considered for all La Salle University merit scholarships. These include the Christian Brothers Scholarship, the Founder’s Scholarship, the Mission Grant, and the Community Service Scholarship. For more information about these scholarships, application directions, and deadline dates, please go to our scholarships page.

What about federal and state grants or loans?

To qualify for any federal and state financial aid, a student must be either a U.S. citizen or an eligible permanent non-citizen. Generally, international students are not eligible for federal or state grants or student loans.

Are there any types of student loans for international students?

International students who wish to borrow alternative loans to assist with covering their balance can find lender information from our alternative loan page. A U.S. citizen will be needed as a co-signer.

Another site to check out is Edupass.org. Click on “Financing College,” and you’ll find a number of loan programs designed especially to help you out with finances. However, be advised—many of these programs require a U.S. citizen as a co-signer. So, the better their credit score, the better interest rate you’ll get.

When will I billed?

Invoices for fall classes are generally mailed sometime in July, provided that the student has registered for classes. Invoices for spring classes are mailed generally toward the end of December. Payment is due approximately 15 days from the print date listed on the invoice.

What methods of payment are available?

You have the option of paying your balance either in person, by mail, by phone, or online. For your convenience, a payment drop box is located outside of the Office of Student and Accounts Receivable on the first floor of the Lawrence Administration Building.

Please do not place cash in the drop box.

  • In person: cash or check
  • Mail: check
  • Phone: ACH, MasterCard, or American Express
  • Online: ACH, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express

Phone payments can be made by calling 215.951.1055. To make payments online, please click here.

How do I check on my account balance for recent payments or other adjustments?

The volume of telephone calls is extremely high in the Office of Student and Accounts Receivable, as well as in the Office of Student Financial Services. We recommend that you either come into the office to speak with a representative or access your account through the La Salle portal.
