After receiving his undergraduate degree in animation from the University of the Arts, Geoffrey worked for the MIT Media Lab creating animation for research into artificial intelligence and robotics. Since then, he has worked on a wide variety of projects including augmented reality exhibits, character-based narratives, and medical visualizations.

He was the founder and coordinator of Philadelphia University’s Animation program, as well as the inaugural faculty for Moore College of Art & Design’s Interactive and Motion Arts program. He was recently Senior Lecturer at the University of the Arts. As an Autodesk Certified Trainer, he has led professional Maya workshops for corporate, government, and higher education clients such as the Apple, Inc. Design Group and the Art Institutes.

During his graduate studies in interactive design, Geoff built a video reference tool for animators, a motion-based mobile music player application, and a prototype iOS app for using an iPhone as a 3D gestural input device. He is the owner and creative director of a small animation studio, Germantown Studios, creating animation for clients as diverse as Google, Target, Hermès, Hasbro, Novartis, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
