Admissions

Can I apply if my undergraduate GPA is below 3.0?

Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 are still considered on a case-by-case basis and should demonstrate academic readiness through other aspects of the application.

Curriculum and Clinicals

How long does it take to complete the NP program?

This is a specific program and dependent on whether you will go Full-Time or Part-Time. Completion can range from to 2-3 years.

How are clinical placements handled?

The program assists with securing clinical placements, but students are also encouraged to network and identify potential preceptors. All placements must be approved by the program.

AGNP 512 hours total, FNP 692 hours, PMHNP 692 hours

Can I complete clinicals in my state if I live outside of the University’s location?

Possibly. State Board of Nursing (SBON)  and online learning regulations, can vary by state. Students must reside in a state where the university is authorized to deliver online nursing education and approve clinical experiences. We strongly recommend checking with your state’s SBON and contacting our office to confirm eligibility before applying.

Licensure and Certification

Will I be eligible to sit for certification after graduation?

Yes. Graduates are eligible to sit for national certification exams through AANP or ANCC.

Does the program meet licensure requirements in all states?

While the program meets national standards, licensure requirements vary by state. We advise students to check with their state board of nursing.

Other Common Questions
