Exceptional Education and Passionate Professors
“After completing my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at La Salle University, I developed a greater curiosity for more knowledge of certain disorders. I enrolled in a doctoral program at Seton Hall University. Because of the exceptional education I received and the passion of the professors in La Salle’s Speech-Language Pathology program, I believe La Salle has helped shape me into the speech language pathologist that I am today and the future researcher I hope to become.”

Practicums in the Top Hospitals, Rehab Facilities, School Districts
“When it came to choosing graduate schools to pursue a master’s in Speech- Language Pathology, it was not an easy decision, as there are a number of excellent programs. In the end, I chose La Salle University because they required practicums in real-world settings in the top hospitals, rehab hospitals, and school districts.
“Equally as important, the professors are involved in multiple research pursuits, while at the same time practicing in the field. This combination brings real case studies and evidence-based practice to the classroom. The professors provided a challenging format to our studies and always made themselves available to answer questions. Even after graduation, if a question arises in the field, they are still willing to lend guidance.
“I strongly feel that La Salle’s coursework and practicum experiences taught me to be independent, resourceful, and to think quickly on my feet. Watching my patients make progress and learning new approaches to help them reach maximum potential makes this job absolutely rewarding.”

Personal Attention from Strong Faculty
“I think one of the greatest strengths of the program is the faculty. I felt that I was able to form relationships with the faculty and felt comfortable asking questions or for additional help when I needed it. Coming from an undergraduate school with a large impersonal faculty, I really appreciated this.
“The program has taught me the importance of evidence-based practice and how to critically analyze research and intervention methods. I think this has helped me grow professionally and provide better treatment that is efficacious and evidence-based.”
