Dr. Blum is first and foremost a teacher; even when he held research positions, he would take every opportunity to do some teaching. Since joining the La Salle faculty in 1998, he has taught a variety of courses including introductory programming, databases, computer architecture and hardware, client support, and networking (theory and hands-on) as well as electronics and general physics, usually in a lab. Within programming he enjoys interface programming—desktop and web—and recently has started playing with mobile applications.

Art is a hobby of his. He likes to study art, collect art, and sometimes even make art.
