Guest Registration

VISITOR/GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Visitors/guests are subject to all La Salle University Policies and Expectations.
  2. A “guest” is an individual who is not a La Salle University resident student who is visiting a La Salle resident student in their on-campus residence.
  3. A “visitor” is an enrolled La Salle University resident student visiting another La Salle University student in an on-campus residence other than their own.
  4. Guests must be 18 years old and signed in by a current resident of that facility by presenting a government-issued photo ID card (driver’s license, non-driver ID, passport) at the Security Desk Reception booth for sign in.
    1. The parent or legal guardian of a prospective guest who is under 18 must submit a Minor Guest Consent Form for the minor to be present in La Salle University residential facilities during the specified time at least 3 business days in advance of the planned visit.
  5. Students must carry valid La Salle University identification cards at all times and must present ID cards to University officials upon request.
  6. Residence Life and/or Public Safety staff may remove a visitor/guest immediately if their behavior disrupts the community, violates policies, involves harassment, destruction of property or acts of violence, or otherwise compromises the safety of students or the community.
  7. La Salle University resident students in good standing may visit other La Salle University student residences.
    1. Student visitors must be signed in by a current resident of that facility by presenting their student ID card at the Security Desk Reception booth for sign in.
  8. Visitor/Guest Requirements:
    1. Guests/visitors must be able to present valid guest pass on mobile device at all times and must present to University officials upon request. (with refreshed timestamp shown)
    2. All Guests/Visitors must be accompanied by La Salle University resident student host at all times in the residence halls.
    3. Guests/Visitors are limited to twenty (20) day visits in totality in any and all residence halls during any given month.
    4. Guest/Visitors are limited to four (4) overnight visits in totality in any and all residence halls during any given month, with a limit of three (3) consecutive 24 hour periods (maximum of two (2) consecutive nights or total of 72 hours). *A guest cannot be signed in under different hosts to extend beyond the 4 night maximum.
  9. The University reserves the right to temporarily suspend visitation privileges for cause and long term or permanent suspension of guest privileges may result from violations of guest and visitation polices determined through the Student Conduct Hearing process.

*The security of our buildings is a shared responsibility of all community members therefore any purposeful attempt to circumvent this policy is considered an act of violation of this policy and subject to disciplinary action and revocations of building access privileges by the host and/or guest/visitor

*Hosts, Guest and visitors are responsible for understanding and upholding the full La Salle University Residential Community Guest Policy .  All students and guests are encouraged to review it fully.

HOST RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Student hosts are responsible for the behavior of their guests. Incidents involving students and/or their visitors/guests may be subject to student conduct violations, and hosts may be billed for damage as a result of a guest’s behavior.
  2. The University reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend visitation privileges for cause.
    1. Guests without valid guest passes may be asked to leave the residence facilities.
    2. Students/former students who are suspended or dismissed from the University are barred from entering any on campus residence facility without the expressed permission of the Executive Director of Residential Life and Community Engagement.
  3. La Salle University resident students are permitted to have:
    1. A maximum of 3 guests signed in to their residence hall at one time.
      1. Only one (1) guest may be signed in overnight per resident.
    2. Residents and guests may not exceed a total of eight (8) total in a residence hall room
    3. Residents and guests may not exceed a total of twelve (12) total in an apartment or townhouse
  4. Guest/Visitors are limited to four (4) overnight visits in totality in any and all residence halls during any given month, with a limit of three (3) consecutive 24 hour periods (maximum of 2 consecutive nights or total of 72 hours).   5. La Salle University resident students must accompany guests at all times in the residence halls.
  6. Residential students may host guests/visitors in residence hall rooms, apartments, or townhouses only with the permission of all those who reside in the rooms, apartments, or townhouses they visit.
