Due to the forecasted inclement weather on Friday, May 10, the Commencement Weekend Kickoff Reception from 2:30–4:30 p.m. has been moved to the Union Ballroom, and the Baccalaureate Mass at 6 p.m. has been moved to the Founders’ Hall Auditorium.
The Master of Public Health at La Salle provides students with opportunities for knowledge and skill development to solve public health outcomes, with particular emphasis on health disparities in urban communities. The MPH curriculum includes a practice immersion and a capstone project that will emphasize health education, case findings, and disease prevention. MPH students complete 200 public health practice hours in identified medically underserved communities, bringing the knowledge and skills gained in core and cross-cutting competency courses to the practice site to meet the community’s needs. Students will gain an understanding of core public health knowledge so that they are equipped to help prevent disease and promote health and social well-being through public health practice, leadership, research, and service.
